Refunding Transactions

You can refund transactions in the SumUp App or in your personal SumUp Dashboard.

Important:

 

  • Transaction that were already paid out can only be refunded, if you have enough balance (= outstanding payout) that allow us to deduct the amount of the transaction that should be refunded.
  • All accounts are able to do refunds. If you also would like your employee accounts to be able to refund payments, please contact our Support Team.

Refunding transactions in your Dashboard on sumup.me

 

  1. Login on sumup.me with the email address and password of your SumUp account. Then, please click on "transactions".
  2. Now choose on the transaction that should be refunded.
  3. Click on "Refund".
  4. To confirm the refund process, you need to enter the password of your SumUp Account.
  5. Ready! Your customer will receive the funds within the next few days. 
     

Refunding transactions in the SumUp App 

 

  1. Open the SumUp App and login with the email address and password of your SumUp Account.
  2. After logging in, please open the sales history in the menu of the app (iOS: "Account", Android: menu symbol)
  3. Now please choose the transaction that should be refunded. Then, tap on the three dots and on "Refund transaction". The following screenshots show the Android App (left) and the iOS App (rights).
  4. To confirm the refund, please enter the password of your SumUp account.
  5. Ready! Your customer will receive the funds within the next few days.

In the transaction details you see that the refund was successful. Also in the sales history you will be see that the transaction was successfully refunded.
